A tooth shade match card is included in your at-home impression kit. Hold this card next to your teeth and take a selfie and then upload it to bettersmiles.com/upload. Our licensed dentist partner will review your photos and select the appropriate tooth shade from over a dozen possible options. We will select your base shade from several options but don’t worry, the base shade is translucent which allows your natural gum shade to show through which will help make it less visible.

After you mail in your dental impressions, a licensed dentist will review your health questionnaire, your uploaded photos, and your impressions. The dentist will decide if your appliance can be made based on their professional experience. In some cases, you may not be eligible, but with additional consent from you, we may be able to proceed with fabricating your appliance. Don’t worry, if the dentist does not approve your case, you will get a 100% refund to your original method of payment.

If you are not happy for any reason, you can return the appliance within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund to your original method of payment. In our experience, over 95% of appliances fit perfectly. When they don’t fit, it is likely that the impression was not made properly. This is why the impression phase is critical to the successful outcome. If the appliance does not fit, you can send it back to us and we can adjust it, or we can make a new one, or give you a refund…your decision.

BetterSmiles is perfect if you are missing only one tooth. We design the replacement tooth to look natural so no one will know you are missing a tooth. The appliance has tiny clasps that engage nearby teeth to hold it in place.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer a BetterSmiles appliance for a full arch. You will need to see a dentist for this service.

A BetterSmiles appliance requires 4 or more stable (not mobile) teeth in order for the appliance to remain secure. The BetterSmiles appliance has tiny clasps that hook around your remaining teeth. If you have less than 4 remaining teeth in an arch, the appliance may shift and lift out of position. If your remaining teeth are not stable (loose), the appliance may extract the loose teeth.

Yes and yes. A licensed dentist in your state will review your impressions, your health survey, and photos to make sure you are qualified for the appliance. Every BetterSmiles appliance is custom-made to fit your mouth and our doctors have a lot of knowledge about how to make a successful outcome. With our digital technologies, we can make a digital file of your mouth, then digitally design the case so a licensed dentist can review all the digital files through “Teledentistry.” Teledentistry is a legal and efficient way of handling non-invasive procedures.

Yes. It is flexible, so it is designed to be comfortable. There are no metal prongs like a metal-framework partial denture.

We do not provide billing services at this time. However, you may send our invoice to your dental insurance carrier and request reimbursement.
Use normal denture cleansers. Don’t use toothpaste because it can scratch the appliance.
